Elizabeth graduated from Olive Harvey School of Nursing in 1979, worked at University of Chicago and later left for Hawaii to work at a Children’s Hospital and pursue a biology degree. She moved to California to start a family and worked at Riverside County Hospital. She has since worked at University of Chicago and University of Illinois as a nurse, working in pediatric intensive care, surgical and emergency care. She had the honor to work with the first live liver transplant, be a primary care nurse for conjoined twins and primary care nurse for kidney and liver transplants. She now enjoys working as a home health nurse and case manager, but also travels with her childhood sweetheart in her free time.

Diana has more than 25 years of experience working in healthcare, starting from high school when she elected hospital occupations. When she helped her first patient, she knew she wanted to be a nurse eventually but she started a family soon after, so she worked in multiple roles like as an urgent care receptionist, assistant office manager of a chiropractic firm and certified medical assistant and technician for an orthopedic practice before returning to school for her LVN degree and IV certification. She now works as a home health nurse and shows a true passion for serving patients in need of healing, compassion and a shoulder to lean on. Diana is motivated by pushing herself to learn new skills and goes above and beyond in her work. She’s also a spiritual person and enjoys encouraging others with her positive vibes.

A certificate signed by Axxess Founder and CEO John Olajide and $250 will be awarded to each 2020 winner selected from our RN, LVN or LPN, PT and PTA finalists among the 4,500 clinicians in the Axxess CARE network. Speech and occupational therapist nominations will be available for the 2021 Clinician of the Year awards.
